As part of the 2022 edition of the #BuyOriginal campaign for Jameson Irish Whiskey, Point Black was contracted with identifying events that represented the brand’s values and audience. After working with Gilmore Tee in 2021, it was clear that The Pichani curated by Gilmore himself hit on many of the key touchstones that we wanted to reflect.

We are glad that we were able to work with him and his team to make the event happen and generate well over 1,000,000 organic impressions for our client. Part of that work was featured in South Africa’s premiere style publication Glamour Magazine! You can read an excerpt from the article below and click through for the full article

Every year, hundreds of people from across Zimbabwe and the African continent, flock to Bulawayo to attend The PiChani, an annual Pan-African lifestyle and cross-networking event which brings together young achievers and leaders from different sectors of influence.

Curated by Forbes 30 under 30 Alumni, Gilmore Tee, this year’s 4th edition was one to remember. Themed BLAK, the event which was held this past Saturday, saw guests showing up adorned in black outfits which had a personal touch from each individual who attended. Powered by Jameson #BuyOriginal, Habakkuk Trust - #LoveBulawayo and FastJet, the event had South African Media Personality – Luthando “Loot Love” Shosha, attending alongside Designer Mzukisi Mbane of Imprint, who recently got back from Milan Fashion Work.
